The Xero Graduate Program

Xero needed an engaging identity for their 2018 graduate program, one that would attract the best young talent from around New Zealand. It needed to show grads that Xero’s Graduate Program was the perfect environment for them to grow their talents, while contributing to a world-leading organisation.

Project Overview
The new generation of graduates are not looking for any old job - they want the 40 hours a week they give to a company to engage and challenge them. They want to feel like they’re part of something bigger and they want a program that’s tailored to their needs.

Thus, the creative concept that I developed was centred around the idea that working at Xero allows you to be a part of something bigger.

This came to life in the form of a collection of blocks, each containing illustrations depicting items that are part of Xero’s unique culture & company values system.
The blocks connect to create larger patterns and shapes, showing how Xero’s graduate program can be uniquely tailored to suit anyone, and is different for everyone.

Results
This campaign successfully increased applications for the 2018 graduate intake by 120% from the previous year. Due to this, it was later rolled out in Xero’s Australian market to recruit for their 2018 Vacation Program.

It also took out ‘Best Graduate Website’ and ‘Best Graduate Print Campaign’ at the 2018 NZAGE (New Zealand Association of Graduate Employers) Industry Awards.
